Fordi and I were at the farmers’ market today and we were bickering about whether we should buy apples or pears. A older (then us) black gentlemen in line behind us laughed and said “I’m really enjoying waiting in line with you two, you’re just so sweet together.”

Start my new job tomorrow. I’ll be working in the registrar’s office of my new university. I’ll likely be older then the people i work for. That hasn’t been a problem for me in the past, I hope it won’t be a problem here. Trying so hard to be upbeat. Hey, I’ll brake even on this semester’s study and have a transitional line on my resume. YAY!?

Coldplay’s haunting classic ‘The Scientist’ is performed by country music legend Willie Nelson for the soundtrack of the short film entitled, “Back to the Start.” The film, by film-maker Johnny Kelly, depicts the life of a farmer as he slowly turns his family farm into an industrial animal factory before seeing the errors of his ways and opting for a more sustainable future. Both the film and the soundtrack were commissioned by Chipotle to emphasize the importance of developing a sustainable food system.
